Vitantonio Liuzzi says a perfect 2011 season result for HRT would be to beat Team Lotus in the standing.

"We would love to be ahead of Team Lotus but it is not an easy target, especially if you look at where we started in Australia," said Liuzzi.

"But we are on the same points and have half a season to improve and try and achieve a better position in the constructors' championship. We are following the right path and are in the right place."

Both teams' best performance is a 13th place finish with Lotus achieving it twive and HRT only once. Liuzzi says he already considers this season a success.

"It has been challenging but we have made good progress since Australia. The steps taken and reliability have been good and we managed to overtake Virgin in the Championship," he explained.

The Italian driver says this season would be "perfect" if the team "could achieve [its] biggest target of finishing 10th in the Constructors' Championship".

HRT is currently in 11th position behind Lotus but ahead of Virgin in the championship. All three teams have no points registered and only owe their standing to their best positions since the beginning of the season.
