Former Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve is ready to travel to Cologne in Germany to have his seat made at Stefan GP.

According to British magazine Autosport, the Canadian will be in Cologne on Monday for a seat fitting in the Stefan GP car.

Villeneuve’s personnal assistant told Auto123.com: ”Jacques is currently in Austria where he trains heavily with Erwin Gollner whom he used to train with when he was in Formula 1”.

Autosport added that a media lunch is scheduled for Wednesday and the team would have decided to use Avon tires that are suitable for the launch and the shakedown of the car.

Team boss Zoran Stefanovic has also confirmed that talks of a merger with USF1 collapsed on Thursday afternoon “due to the inflexibility of certain players”.
