Jenson Button in Singapore called for calm amid increasing rumours of discord behind closed doors at Brawn.

With the Briton now essentially battling only his teammate Rubens Barrichello for the 2009 championship, it is rumoured that they are also fighting for the single remaining race seat at the team for next season.

Nico Rosberg is believed to have signed to replace either Button or Brawn, amid rumblings that Barrichello's side of the garage may be withholding information from his British colleague.

"This is the last thing I need at the moment," 29-year-old Button said. "I just want to be able to focus on racing and doing my job. I don't think this is a good thing to talk about now."

Pressed about the rumours of information withholding, however, he said: "We don't hold anything back -- as far as I know."

Barrichello denies that his side of the garage is not playing fair.

"I'm not doing anything and even if I wanted to I couldn't. There are so many computers and so much telemetry from the car its all there for everyone to see. We share everything," he insisted.

It is also suggested that Button is arguing with his bosses about a pay-rise for 2010, having agreed to slash his retainer to assist the management buyout last winter.

"That's another thing I won't talk about," he said in Singapore. "I want the championship done and then I'll look at other things. They still value me. Well, I hope so."
