Martin Whitmarsh has revealed that McLaren is unlikely to settle upon Lewis Hamilton's teammate for 2010 before the current season is concluded.

The future of Heikki Kovalainen is in doubt, and fellow Finn Kimi Raikkonen has been linked with a return to the Mercedes-powered team.

But team boss Whitmarsh told reporters that a decision is unlikely to be made either in Brazil this weekend or even before the chequered flag waves at the Abu Dhabi finale in two weeks.

"No, I don't think you are (going to hear news) now," the Briton said at Interlagos.

"The end of the season is accelerating upon us. We intend to start the (2010) season much more competitively than we started this one: that's the priority.

"We will concentrate on some of those other issues after the season now," Martin Whitmarsh added.
