The Brazilian completed a race distance this morning, but the FW33 had an oil leak on the engine at lunchtime before Pastor took over for the afternoon. As it was high mileage, the team chose to change it.

Kamui Kobayashi was sixth in the Sauber-Ferrari. The Swiss team did a race simulation, first using old tires and then a new set at the end. Unfortunately, the C30 suffered a drive shaft problem, which forced Kobayashi to stop his running. The problem still has to be investigated.

Jenson Button could do no better than a time of 1:25.837, good only for 13th place. The McLaren beat only Jerome D’Ambrosio’s Virgin-Cosworth!
