Renault can say mission accomplished after the Grand Prix of Monaco's qualifying session: three engines in the three first spots gave a solid picture of success for the manufacturer.

Mark Webber's pole position means he has not start further than the first starting line since the beginning of the season (Melbourne 2, Sepang 1, Shanghai 2, Barcelona 1, Monaco 1).

Sebastian Vettel saw Robert Kubica still the second place on the starting grid. The German was almost angry to have finished four tenths behind his teammate.

Felipe Massa took the forth place, a couple of hundredth of seconds behind. His teammate Fernando Alonso forfeited qualifying after he destroyed the right end-side of his Ferrari in a contact with the wall in final practice.

McLaren did less good than expected and only comes in fifth with Lewis Hamilton three positions ahead of his teammate Jenson Button in eight.

Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher took the sixth and seventh spot for Mercedes. Rubens Barrichello wraped-up the top eight.
