Not only did Rubens Barrichello not change is gearbox before the race, but he dominated the Italian Grand Prix to take his second victory in the three last events, benefiting of a perfect one-stop strategy from his Brawn team.

Barrichello was followed at the start-finish line by his teammate Jenson Button, who got back on the podium for the first time since his victory in Turkey on June 7th.

Kimi Raikkonen completed the honours for Ferrari. The Finn unexpectedly inherited the third place from poor Lewis Hamilton who seems to have lost a tire in the last lap, finishing his race in a wall, and the debris of his McLaren all over the track.

Another great result for Adrian Sutil who takes the points of the fourth place in his Force India.

Barrichello was thrilled by victory, especially regarding the incertitude of his oil-leaking-fire-blowing-Spa-configured-gearbox. He said after the race that the mechanic was perfect and that he expects it to remain in the car - and hold! - until the end of this season.

"The result is just fantastic. We have to remember that, not so long ago, we had no jobs. To win in such a great car with such a great engine and  such a great time feels fantastic", he added Sunday afternoon.
