Italy's Autosprint magazine reports that there has been "contact" between his management and Maranello based Ferrari.

The report said Ferrari was merely checking on the 25-year-old's contractual situation.

Brazilian Massa has a contract with Ferrari through 2012, while Rosberg was believed to have inked a three-year deal when he joined Mercedes for 2010.
