Manipe F1, in association with Powerlynx Motorsports Management Inc., have today launched worldwide petition to highlight the disappointment of the Formula 1 community at the decision to axe the 2009 Canadian Formula One Grand Prix.

Both parties contend that, with the advent of new, plush race circuits, backed by governments and billionaires, Formula One is slowly beginning to lose touch with its roots.

This petition, which can be viewed and signed at http://www.manipef1.com/petition, will aim to remind the sport's powerbrokers that expanding its borders should not be done at the expense of exciting or historically significant circuits.

It's hoped that enough signatures will be collected through the petition to strongly urge the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and Formula One Management (FOM) to reconsider the removal of the Canadian Grand Prix, and to refrain from taking similar decisions in the future.
