Felipe Massa received a very special Christmas gift when he tested a F2007 model provided by the Maranello’s F1 Clienti department.
After his long absence from racing, due to his terrible accident last summer during the qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix and a taste at Fiorano and Mugello, the Brazilian driver was back to accomplish his desire to drive a Formula 1 single-seater before the end of the year, just two weeks after his first son Felipinho was born.
Felipe drove around 60 laps on his second day here on board of the Scuderia Ferrari single-seater, which won the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Titles in the 2007 season, fitted with Bridgestone exposition tyres for the occasion.
Spanish newspaper Diario AS suggested December 17 that despite the test ban some "internal solutions" would be tried during the test as Ferrari is working to reduce the fuel consumption of its V-8 engine for 2010 when refuelling will be prohibited.
