February will mark the beginning of the series of intense pre-season test sessions in preparation for the 2010 Formula 1 season.
Here are the dates:
February 1st to 3rd – Valencia (Ricardo Tormo), Spain
February 10th to 13th – Jerez, Spain
February 17th to 20th – Jerez, Spain
February 25th to 28th – Circuit de Catalunya, Spain
The teams only get 15,000 km of testing which they will spread across 15 days.
As of today, only Mercedes Grand Prix has confirmed their 2010 Formula 1 car launch date. It will happen with drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg at Valencia on the first day of testing of the new season.
It will be interesting to note how many days of testing the new Cosworth-powered teams (Lotus, Virgin, Campos and USF1) will be able to accomplish during the course of their maiden season in F1.
