German web site speed-magazin.de quotes the German DPA news agency saying that the injured Robert Kubica is about to leave the hospital and go home.

After having spent the last two months in the Italian hospital following his rally crash, Kubica, the Lotus Renault GP driver, is expected to be home for Easter.

The spokesman of hospital Pietre Liqure, Roberto Carrozzino confirmed that the 26-year-old Kubica is now feeling much better, following four major operations to repair his right hand, the many fractures in the forearm, his elbow and his foot.

Carrozzino indicated that the risk of infection has been eradicated.

It is still unknown if Kubica will be able to test the R31 F1 car before the end of the year.
