According to autosport.com, Grosjean made a comeback with Lotus Renault GP, in the form of a straighline aero test for the Formula 1 squad.
The event marked Grosjean's first serious appearance in the cockpit of an F1 car, since his infamous 2009 partial season with Renault.
He had been performing demonstration run for the team, but after Bruno Senna took over Nick Heidfeld's race seat, Grosjean subsequently inherited Senna's offical test driver role.
Earlier this year the Franco-Swiss also captured the GP2 crown for Dams.
“Even after 2009, I never doubted myself. But 2011 not only made me more mature, it brought me peace of mind”, said Grosjean.
These recent successes have certainly boosted the 25-year old's confidence. And, “it's only the beginning”, according to to him.
