The maiden Formula 1 race to be held at night, the Singapore Grand Prix, was a huge success. The layout of this new street circuit provided excitement and good passing opportunities. Despite the bumps, the drivers declared it was one of the most thrilling circuits of the season.
Fernando Alonso drove a stunning race in his Renault. He won the race despite having started from the middle of the field. And second-place finisher Nico Rosberg also drove a brilliant race, even leading the pack at one point.
