More candidates to succeed Max Mosley as FIA president may be still to emerge, a high ranking international motor sport official has suggested.

To the German sports news agency SID, Hermann Tomczyk ruled out making a bid to take on Jean Todt and Ari Vatanen in October's election.

"Definitely not," Tomczyk, the German club ADAC sport president as well as World Motor Sport Council member and a regular F1 steward, said.

"I have said before that I am not available and nothing has changed," he added.

Tomczyk, whose FIA member club boycotted the federation last year over the Mosley sex scandal, said the German body is not yet ready to throw its support behind either Todt or Vatanen.

"Within a foreseeable time we will decide which programme we can follow," he said, "but at the moment we don't know yet if more candidates will come (forward)," Tomczyk added.
