F2: Dean Stoneman extended championship lead at Oschersleben

Dean Stoneman won both rounds presented at Oschersleben. With only two races remaining, he moved closer to the title.

The Brit took championship lead after both rounds at Brno, Czech Republic, three points ahead of Jolyon Palmer.

Dean Stoneman put an impressive performance in race 1, on wet conditions. After he started from 5th position on the grid, the english driver had a perfect start, and moved up to the lead in the first lap, then pulled away in front, and crossed the finish lead more than 15 seconds ahead of second place driver Kazim Vasiliauskas. Jolyon Palmer, who started 7th, took third position.

Few minutes later, on a still wet track, Stoneman set the best performance in qualifying for race 2, as rival Jolyon Palmer struggled in the session, and could only set the 16th best performance.

Championship leader completed his work by winning in race 2, even if the gap was closer, with Vaziliauskas only two seconds behind Stoneman. Sergei Afanasiev took third position, while Palmer could not do better than 12th rank.

Dean Stoneman get closer to the title, as he now stands 31 points ahead of Palmer, with only two races remaining, in Valencia, in two weeks.
