Newly crowned British Formula 3 champion Jean-Eric Vergne will take part in the F1 young driver test at Abu Dhabi in November.
Vergne, who is a member of Red Bull’s young driver programme, will have his first taste of an F1 car at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The Frenchman was the runner-up in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in 2009, and captured the British Formula 3 title this year at the end of a dominant season as he was crowned before the end of the year.
Vergne also took part in several World Series Renault 3.5 events, and captured his maiden win at Silverstone last weekend. He will contest to entire WSR 3.5 championship in 2011.
The Frenchman will test alongside Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) and Dean Stoneman (Williams). More names will follow soon…
