The 2016 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study measured owner-reported problems related to a new vehicle’s design and defects during the first 90 days of ownership. It is based on more than 80,000 survey responses.

This year, the top-rated family cars earned an IQS Power Circle Rating of 4 or 5 out of a possible 5 for initial quality.
