Glenn’s idea from the outset was very bold: He wanted to sell his own wheels. Therefore, rather than simply import and sell any brand of wheels, he needed to get his hands dirty. He wanted to manage as much of the entire process as possible which included (take a deep breath): branding, design, production, quality control, transport, as well as warehousing and distribution of each product. This was a tall order and not an easy task. Canada, which has a limited audience for such products, has very varied tastes in each of its far-spread markets.
Impressively, Fastco has proven this can work. By controlling each of the above mentioned steps and backing it up with state-of-the-art fitment technology, both the Fast and Replika brands have become synonymous with quality and value. Fastco offers car and truck enthusiasts solid, exciting wheels at a great price.
As if that wasn't enough, since 2001, Fastco has also become one of Canada’s premier high performance tire distributors.
Where are they now? In a 17-year period, the company has moved from a portfolio consisting of 3 styles with annual sales of roughly 2,000 wheels to nearly 100 wheel models and 6 major tire lines, selling a combined volume of more than 130,000 units per year. That's what you call growth.
With all his success, Glenn has been rewarded as he should. He, along with his son Lee, has put together a top-notch team of Hyundai Tiburons that run in the Canadian Touring Car Championship. As you might have guessed, the Tiburons run on purpose-built, lightweight Fast FC01 race wheels.
Glenn's boyhood dream has really come true as he has finally been able to return to his first love: road racing.
