And now for the outrageous! Ford has taken a GT, yes the same car that underpins the gorgeous GTX1 (see yesterday's news),
and wrapped it in 1940s sheetmetal. On the same retro theme, the Wedge Roadster, taken from an original drawing by Dan Webb and looking every bit like a '50s Highboy hot rod, even down to its orange-coloured wire wheels, is also on display.
Once again, Ford's long history in all forms of motorsport, and strong ties to the tuner market thanks to import fighters like the Focus and Mustang, have made its 2005 SEMA booth one of the highlights of the show.
