The lineup starts with the 5.4-litre Triton V8, which delivers 300 hp and 365 lb.-ft. of torque. More than 80 percent of the peak torque kicks in as low as 1,000 rpm.
The new 6.8-liter Triton V10 produces 355 hp at 4,750 rpm and 455 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,250 rpm, both class-leading figures.
The 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel is now rated at 325 hp and 570 lb.-ft. of torque.
The final point in this highlights tour of the Ford 2005 Super Duty lineup would have to be that it also rides and handles better than its predecessor, or so said chief engineer Dehne.
