Already on sale in Europe, the Transit Connect is a compact delivery vehicle that is aimed at small business owners that don't need full-size vehicles.
The Transit Connect features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission, which means a fuel consumption of about 12.4/9.8 L/100 km city/highway.
According to Rob Stevens, Chief Engineer of the Transit Connect for the U.S., "it drives like a car, works like a van and is engineered to be as tough as a truck". The vehicle has dual sliding doors and rear doors that swing open up to 180 degrees. Total cargo space is 4,049 litres, or 143 cubic feet.
