Eddie Cheever Junior, son of the former Formula 1 driver Eddie, is about to enter his second season in the Italian Formula 3 Championship.
His father Eddie races F1 from 1978 to 1989, and he won the famed Indy 500 IndyCar race in 1998.
Born in 1993, Cheever Junior raced karts before he stepped up to car racing, competing in the 2009 Italian Formula Renault series.
He then competed in the ACI-CSAI Formula Abarth series and graduated to the F3 series. After a year racing for Angelo Rosin, he is about to contest a second season as a teammate to Brandon Maisano at Prema Racing.
Taking about “sons of famous drivers”, Josh Hill, son of 1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill and grandson of two-time World Champion Graham Hill, continued family tradition by starting his motorsport career in 2009.
Last year, he competed in the British Formula Renault Championship, claiming his maiden victory at the Protyre Finals at Snetterton.
