Formula BMW Americas series is in Mid Ohio this week-end for the 5th and 6th races of the present season.
We were expecting a good result from Alexander Rossi, and he did not deceive yet! He dominated every practice session and the first qualification.
Championship leader Giancarlo Raimondo couln't do better than 5th in this first qualification. He was second to Rossi in the first morning practice.
Quebeckers Maxime Pelletier and Mikaƫl Grenier will respectively start Round 5 in 3rd and 7th position.
Pelletier sufferd from understeer all day long. This 3rd place is a good result for him in the circumstances. None of the Quebeckers realised better than 5th time in practice, adding to the satisfaction of Pelletier.
Grenier had to drive a car not responding to his will during practice and qualification and was hopping his engineers could realise miracles during the night so he could do better than 7th in the second qualification that is to happen today.
Both races (Round 5 and 6) will occur Sunday, on Mid-Ohio Sports Car track. Only nine cars will participate to this week-end in the US. It isdefinitely becoming a source of concern. Is this series able to survivewith only nine participants?
