Formula Master's round 11 in Oschersleben, Germany, today marked Chris van der Drift's fifth win of the season, equalling the 2007 record set by Jérôme D'Ambrosio.
Having secured pole position in yesterday's qualifying session, van der Drift led from start to finish. The JD Motorsport driver posted quick lap times throughout the race, setting the fastest lap of 1:21.619 at the end of the 35-minute round.
Jenzer Motorsport's Fabio Leimer raced unchallenged to a second place finish, despite third-place man Michael Ammermüller catching him in the later stages of the race.
Iris Project's Ammermüller claimed his third place thanks to a strong start, which saw the German driver overtake Trident Racing's Harald Schlegelmilch.
JD Motorsport's Chris van der Drift and Vladimir Arabazhiev claimed today's best team-mate accolade whilst Fabio Leimer's second place awarded him the best rookie of the race title.
