Reportedly, Ford is also developing a series of gasoline and diesel motors with its own variation on the motor shut-off system. Judging by the reaction of other companies, it shouldn't be long before we see this sort of technology in North American market vehicles which face tough emissions laws and stringent CAFE-average ratings.
