At the Geneva Motor Show this year, Gumpert, creator of the Apollo, will showcase a V8-powered touring car dubbed Tornante.
Built according to the principles of “Superleggera”, it features a composite shell placed on a carbon fibre monocoque frame.
For those unfamiliar with the company, its founder, Ronald Gumpert, was formerly sales and marketing director for Audi and Volkswagen and is considered by many the father of the Quattro.
The Apollo had been tested on the popular TV show Top Gear in 2008 and declared faster than a Bugatti Veyron or Pagani Zonda on their track.
Visitors at the Geneva show will have the chance to get up close and personal with a car that will undoubtedly deliver some extreme thrills. No details concerning output or other technical specifications have yet been released on the Tornante.
