"One in five North Americans has some type of disability," Ulrich says. "GM, in an effort to satisfy its customers' mobility needs, is addressing the issues. The Paragon Project gives GM real world knowledge of how people with disabilities use our products."
Ulrich has also been known to describe the non-disabled part of society as "temporarily able," correctly drawing attention to the reality that all of us will one day lose some or all of the abilities we now have, if we're lucky and survive that long.
