GP2 Asia: Giaccomo Ricci takes final round in Bahrain

DPR driver Giaccomo Ricci clinched victory in race 2 in Bahrain, final round of the 2009-2010 GP2 Asia championship.

Ricci gave DPR its first win, after Filippi clinched team Meritus’ first victory on Saturday.

The Italian driver won ahead of Sam Bird and Alvaro Parente. Davide Valsecchi, already crowned two weeks ago, took 4th position.

Poleman Edoardo Piscopo could not take part to the race, after he lost a wheel in the formation lap.

Davide Valsecchi follows Romain Grosjean and Kamui Kobayashi - crowned in 2008 and 2009 - as reigning champion.
