Kobayashi won the feature race in Bahrain, and Sergio Perez took the victory in Sprint Race.
The Japanese displayed great driving skills as he stormed from fourth to second at the start before putting pressure on race leader Hülkenberg and overtaking him in a stellar manoeuvre. He crossed the finish line in first position for the second time this season, 5.8 seconds ahead of his teammate Jérôme d'Ambrosio.
Sergio Perez, the youngest driver of the GP2 Asia Series makes history and becomes the first Mexican to win a GP2 race. Starting from pole position on the reversed grid, the GP2 debutant Sergio managed to lead from the start to the chequered flag.
In provisional championship classification, Kobayashi leads with 24 points, ahead of Davide Valsecchi, Roldan Rodriguez and Jérôme d'Ambrosio.
