GP2 Series press release
The GP2 series unveiled the 2010 calendar and reported that eleven rounds have been confirmed for next season. Twelve teams will take part of this new challenge.
GP2 Series will see its season once again begin in Barcelona where the Formula One Championship will open its European season. This event will be the first of ten weekends as the official Formula One support series – one more event than the previous year.
Portimao will host again the stand-alone event which will take place mid-season on 19-20 June and will be supported by the new and anticipated GP3 Series. The 2010 championship will be concluded in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit together with Formula One.
Two pre-season test sessions will be organised first at Paul Ricard on 23-24-25 March followed by Barcelona on 7-8-9 April.
