Valtteri Bottas took the championship title after scoring his fourth success of the year at Monza this last week end.

After he endured a difficult start this season, Bottas took his first podium finish at Valencia in June.

From then, the Finn appeared regularly on top of classifications, and claimed his maiden win at the Nürburgring in July, and then took another success one week later in Budapest. The ART driver was again dominant at Spa, then sealed his GP3 title by winning Race 1 at Monza.

Valtteri Bottas, from Nastola, Finland, began his single seater career in 2007 in the Formula Renault 2.0 North European Championship, where he finished third overall.

He clinched the title in NEC in 2009, and was crown Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup champion the same year. He moved up to the Formula 3 Euroseries in 2009 and 2010 (3rd overall both seasons) and won the F3 Masters at Zandvoort both seasons.

The 22-yeay-old is already involved in Formula 1, as a reserve driver for the Williams F1 Team since 2010. Bottas took part in his first GP3 season with ART, and will probably move to GP2 with the French squad.

ART was dominant in the GP3 series this season, placing all three drivers in the first positions in final championship classification with James Calado second ahead of Nigel Melker.
