Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge team, Insight Racing, has decided to field a Ferrari 458 in European endurance races.

So far known for their two-car effort in Grand-Am, Insight Racing has acquired a GT3-spec Ferrari 458 for Martin Jensen and Dennis Andersen to drive in the Blancpain Endurance Series.

The two danish drivers have worked together previously in the European Ferrari Challenge, Jensen mentoring Andersen.

The Blancpain Endurance Series is a championship built around the Spa 24 hours, held at the Belgian circuit in July. It uses international FIA GT rules, but focuses on amateur racing.

The series also organizes three-hour races in Monza, Magny-Cours, Silverstone and Navarra – Spain's new track.

"We feel endurance races are the toughest to win and showcase a team’s capabilities better than anything else," said team director and principal Gilbert Lynagh on the team's website.

"This European campaign will give us an opportunity to shine; ultimately, we want to become the global expert in long-distance endurance races."

Insight Racing's European leg will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark and regroups a mix of American and European engineers.
