The Audi R8 LMS WRT driven by Mattias Ekstrom, Greg Franchi and Timo Scheider took a two-lap victory in the 63rd Spa 24 Hours.
The WRT’s Audi inherited the lead when the other R8 LMS of Team Phoenix crashed out on Sunday morning with Christopher Haase.
DTM stars Mattias Ekstrom and Timo Scheider, together with Belgian GT driver Greg Franchi, gave Audi its first overall win in the Belgian race.
Second position went to BMW Z4 driven by Werner, Sandstrom and Hurtgen, and Mercedes took a podium finish with the SLS driven by Heyer, Jager and Lemeret, although the car lost time to fix the bodywork.
The second Audi R8 of Team Phoenix driven by Mike Rockenfeller, Andrea Piccini and Marcel Fassler finished 12 laps off the lead after a gearbox issue.
