GT1: Nissan inherits victory at Silverstone

Sumo Power GT Nissan-GT-R inherits victory at Silverstone after winning Aston Martin was exluded after the race.

Turner and Enge (Aston Martin Young Driver AMR) clinched victory in championship race on track, but their car was excluded for an illegal underfloor skid plank level. Makowieck and Accary, who finished second aboard their Hexis Racing Aston Martin, were penalized by a 15-second penalty for not taking a drive-through penalty within three laps.

Makowiecky and Accary is classified second, behind Jamie Campbell-Walter and Warren Hugues Nissan, who initially finished third. Jos Menten and Frank Kechele’s Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Murcielago moved up to third.

Although they had a bad week-end at Silverstone, with no point scored in both qualifying race and championship race, Romain Grosjean and Thomas Mutsch (Ford GT) remain in first position in provisional classification.
