Hans Stuck, the Volkswagen’s Motorsports Group Communications Motorsports Representative spoke with Auto123.com, denying Associated Press reports that he was the Motorsports boss and that he had talks with NASCAR about entering Sprint Cup

“My job is at VW Motorsports representative and coordination.  Of course I’m looking in all series I go to Formula One meetings, WTCC, I go to the Dakar Rallye in December as well as LeMans. The main reason I’m here is holiday. Because I’m good friends with Chris (Jurgensen) we had to meet Mr. (Clark) Campbell from VW Motorsports.”

“From the eyes of VW we are looking at all kinds of different racing, there are talks with Formula One, DTM. What do we do of course with our factory building here in Chattanooga I can imagine that there would be interest from NASCAR that we would race here. At the moment there is nothing been taken place.

“What I have learned from Volkswagen is patience. Volkswagen is pretty successful whether it's Porsche or Audi… There are many sanctioning bodies are interested in us racing here, everyone is coming up and asking can we do something.”
