A limited-edition version of the F-150 pickup will be the first offspring of a relationship between Ford and North America's leading motorcycle manufacturer and it will come from the truck plant in Oakville.
The Harley-Davidson F-150 is meant to "embody many of the visual cues that have made the motorcycle famous." This means a black, monochromatic 4x2 SuperCab with a flareside box topped by a hard shell tonneau cover on a body that's been lowered an inch and rides on 20-inch wheels.
It's pretty much impossible to replicate the legendary sound made by Harley bikes, but the Harley-Davidson F-150 will make a significant noise from the SVT Lightning-tuned, chrome-tipped dual exhausts attached to the 260-horsepower, 5.4-liter V-8 under the hood.Inside, the truck will have Harley badging, a dash ornament, an accessory pouch with a saddlebag-like clasp on the centre console, and a unique "spun metal" instrument cluster. Other interior features include ebony black leather captain's chairs with a Harley-Davison logo, chrome steering wheel stalks and door release hardware, and black leather trim and steering wheel.
