Dani Pedrosa and his Honda partner, Nicky Hayden, dominated the time sheets on the final day of MotoGP testing in Jerez, southern Spain.

The two Hondas were faster than anybody else on the Spanish circuit in what was the last official test session for the season.

Spain's Jorge Lorenzo (Fiat Yamaha) proved that he learned a lot since the start of the tests but he was still 0.9 of a second slower than Pedrosa's time. Both Pedrosa and Hayden set their times on qualifying-style runs near the end of the day.

Italian Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) decided to go home early as he was struggling with the pain caused by his injured hand and he only managed to be 11th.

As expected, Casey Stoner flew back to Australia to follow up on his injured shoulder after his crash yesterday.

Randy de Puniet, who crashed twice today, still managed to set the ninth-fastest time.
