Door trims inside are adorned with the presidential seal which is also found on the outside of the backdoors. The Stars and Stripes is set on the front right fender and the President Flag is on the left. These two flags are illuminated at night by spotlights built in the fenders.

This limousine is the latest from a long list of Caddies used by US presidents throughout the years. President Woodrow Wilson used a Caddy in 1918 in a Boston parade celebrating the victory in the First World War. Official outings of the Coolidge Administration in the late 20s were all made on board Cadillacs. Two Cadillacs named "Queen Elizabeth" and "Queen Mary"—after two passenger liners of the time—were put into service in 1938. They were used successively by Presidents Roosevelt, Truman and Eisenhower. Ike sat in a "bubble-top" Eldorado at his inaugural parade in 1953. Later, in 1956, "Queen Elizabeth II" and "Queen Mary II" replaced their older sisters. Those two vehicles were retired in 1968.

As for Bill Clinton, he rode in a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, the presidential limousine delivered to him in 1993. For sure the virtuous George W. would have refused to sit in the same car as Bill the Merrymaker because who knows what took place in the back seat of that limo with the tinted glass. So why not get a brand new four-wheeler for the man from Texas?
