So far, with the cancellation of the official Wednesday practice, nearly 18 hours of the 30 hours of running that should have been held so far have been lost to rain.

Bad weather was still the norm yesterday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as bad weather continued to frustrate teams' efforts to prepare for this weekend's qualifying days.

The track was dry, but when the session was about to begin, the rain started again.

Further practice is scheduled for Thursday and Friday before qualifying commences on Saturday.
