The Firestone Indy Lights Series has published its 2012 calendar featuring more than twelve events divided among ovals, temporary street circuits and permanent road courses.
Firestone Indy Lights teams will be back at the Raceway at Belle Isle for the first time under INDYCAR; having raced there between 1992 and 2000 alongside the CART Series. It will also be back at Auto Club Speedway for the first time since 2005.
The first oval of the season will be the series' premier event – the Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 25, two days before the Indianapolis 500.
A 12th event is to be announced at a later date.
