Sam Schmidt Motorsports’ Alex Tagliani ended up the fastest driver of the third day of practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in preparation for the upcoming Indianapolis 500.
Finally there was no rain and Monday’s session went on uninterrupted for the full six hours.
Canadian Alex Tagliani clocked his best time with an average speed of 225.878mph.
Ganassi duo of Scott Dixon and Graham Rahal followed in order, ahead of Penske's Ryan Briscoe and Newman/Haas’ Oriol Servia.
A total of 39 drivers took to the track, with only Schmidt/Rahal driver Jay Howard choosing to sit the session out as he saved tires for later in the month.
