In a press release published Friday morning, André Azzi, one of the founding members of the FAZZT Racing IndyCar team, says he wishes now to take a step back from the day-to-day operations, as he will try to rebuild a new and comprehensive program for the development of Canadian drivers.
Azzi, who recently sold the team’s Dallara-Hondas and equipment to Sam Schmidt Motorsport, while holding the rights over the name, believes that he made the right move in light of the upcoming regulations that will require the usage of a new car in 2012.
The Montreal businessman says he will spend the next eight months to find news sponsors for the FAZZT Racing Team that he intends to bring back on the grid in 2012.
