Rumours have been circulating for the last couple of weeks, especially since the announcement that Chevrolet would be back in IndyCar in 2012. The names of Tony Kanaan, Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart have been in the news.

One thing we know for sure is that Tony Kanaan will be at the Sebring circuit this week aboard the De Ferran Dragon Dallara Honda, prompting out speculations that the Brazilian had found a new home for next year.

The truth is that Kanaan has been asked by his fellow countryman and long-time friend Gil de Ferran to conduct some tests for the team so that they could have precious inputs from an experienced driver. That is, for the extent of their partnership.

As for Robby Gordon, the veteran NASCAR driver has the desire to have an entry in the 2011 Indianapolis 500 and with the confirmed return of Chevrolet in IndyCar, some media suggest that he would be willing to expand its Indy program under the Chevrolet name.

Former open wheel driver and NASCAR champion Tony Stewart has denied that he will be involved in IndyCar with Chevrolet in the near future.

Asked if he’d put together a team to run the entire schedule or the Indy 500 himself, Stewart was inflexible. “No, no, no and no,” Stewart said. “I don’t have any extra time to do any of that right now.”
