Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207) clinched 2009 IRC title after he won San Remo rally, while Jan Kopecki (Skoda Fabia) was forced to retire.
Luca Rossetti’s Abarth Grande Punto took the lead after day 1, but Meeke pushed hard on Saturday morning, to take the lead.
Jan Kopecki, the other championship contender, crashed out on SS2.
Meeke secured championship victory before last round of the season, in Great Britain.
