Organizers of the former Champ Car race in Edmonton confirmed on Monday that the event will go ahead in 2008.
The race will now be known as the Rexall Edmonton Indy and is set to take place on Saturday, July 26, one week after the race's original date of July the 20th.
Australia and Long Beach are the only other two former Champ Car events put on the IndyCar schedule this year.
For the last three years, Edmonton has hosted an open-wheel race with the event attracting 167,000 spectators last year.
