Poor weather in Indianapolis had forced the postponement of the rookie orientation practice that was supposed to be held on Saturday but yellows for light drizzle on track repeatedly interrupted Sunday’s session.
After finishing on top on Saturday, Helio Castroneves (Penske) once again was the quickest of the field, beating the Ganassi duo of Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti on the second day of practice for the Indianapolis 500.
Will Power was fourth in the next of the Penske entries, while Tony Kanaan kept Andretti Autosport in contention with fifth.
Alex Tagliani (FAZZT Racing) was not on track Saturday, still recovering from the effects of his bronchitis, but took part in Sunday’s session, finishing 24th.
