St-Petersburg, Florida will be the first race where most of the newcomers from the Champ Car teams should find the surroundings more familiar than the oval of Homestead. Those drivers hope to be more competitive in the Floridian street race this weekend.
Conquest's Franck Perera was the highest-placed of the drivers in their first oval race, finishing 14th. Briton Justin Wilson is also confident of a better showing on a more familiar street circuit after his 15th place at Homestead.
Ganassi Racing, Penske and Andretti Green should be the teams to watch for the upcoming Grand Prix.
Brazilian Helio Castroneves will try to win again in St-Petersburg as he did in the last two years.
Scott Dixon, who won in Homestead last week, finished second last year as Andretti Green's Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti and Dario Franchitti completed the Top 5.
