Back in 2005, British driver Dan Wheldon had revealed that he would have been interested in driving in the NASCAR Sprint Cup (known then as the Nextel Cup). But now the Briton seems to have put an end on those plans and reports in the paddock suggest that he should commit to a long-term deal to stay in the IRL.
Like his colleague Helio Castroneves did a couple of weeks ago, the 30-year-old Wheldon is on the verge of signing a long term contract with his current team Chip Ganassi Racing to commit his future to the IndyCar series.
