Panther Racing has confirmed today that former Ganassi Racing driver and IRL champion, Dan Wheldon, is to drive the No.4 Delphi National Guard Dallara Honda in the Surfers Paradise race at the end of October.
In order for Wheldon to get accustomed with his new team, he will take part in a practice session at the Indianapolis Speedway next Monday and later on at the Sebring Raceway before leaving for Australia.
As announced before, Dario Franchitti will be with Wheldon's former team for the non-championship event, the Nikon Indy 300.
